BLEPHAROPLASTY
Blepharoplasty
Blepharoplasty, or most commonly called eyelid surgery, is a surgical procedure that improves the overall appearance of the upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both. This procedure reduces the amount of loose, sagging, and puffy skin surrounding the eyes that can give an overall look of aging. The outcome of this procedure is a youthful facial appearance.

A patient is a good candidate for this procedure if they have no major health problems, do not smoke, are concerned about the signs of aging in their face, and have realistic expectations. A blepharoplasty will not stop the process of aging in the future. However, it will greatly diminish the impact that aging has had. Many patients have friends and family say that they look 10-15 years younger after a blepharoplasty! This procedure is not meant to change the way you look. You should not look “tight” or “fake”. The goal of a great blepharoplasty should be to offer the patient a well-rested, more youthful appearance.
The surgery is performed on an outpatient basis so you’ll be able to go home the same day. There is no need for a hospital stay.
Whether you schedule a consultation with our office or another plastic surgeon, always be sure that your surgeon is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is qualified to perform surgeries in accredited or state-licensed medical facilities.
