Case Notes
This case involves a 63-year-old female who underwent a drainless abdominoplasty with progressive tension sutures and nerve block for post-operative pain management, as well as liposuction of the hip rolls. Dr. Shell removed a total of 2,300 grams of tissue from her abdominal wall and suctioned a total of 1,000mL of fat and fluid from her hips. She is 67" tall, weighs 179 pounds, and has no children. The before and after photos, taken eight months apart, document the physical changes resulting from these procedures. The pre-operative image shows significant adiposity around the abdominal and hip areas. Post-operatively, there is a noticeable reduction in abdominal protrusion and the contour of the hips appears smoother and more defined. The surgical techniques employed facilitated these visible changes while addressing specific areas of concern indicated by the patient. This case highlights the physical outcomes achievable through targeted surgical interventions in body contouring.
